Brainware University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) as a state private unitary autonomous university. The university has accreditation and approval of multiple governing bodies of India, including Pharmacy Council of India, Bar Council of India, Indian Nursing Council (INC), Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements, Association of Indian Universities (AIU), West Bengal Nursing Council, Directorate of Medical Education, Government of West Bengal, Computer Society of India, Innovation Council of India, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan and others.

The University offers different scholarships and financial assistance to meritorious and deserving students. Early Bird Offer is also available for the early applicants. A merit scholarship worth Rs.25 crores has been awarded in 2024 to the eligible scholars in the form of Vidyalankar, Medha Britti, Vidya Jyoti, Krira Ratna and other government scholarship facilities. Eligible meritorious students avail upto 100% tuition fee waiver.

The Brainware University Central Library is the go-to repository for the PhD research scholars with access to abundant resources.
